Works for Me Wednesday – GIVEAWAY!!!!!

I am a Weight Watcher – Lifetime, I love saying that!

I, because of above, am a runner (started as a walker).

When I run I need music… with a beat.  Sometimes it’s praise music, sometimes it’s Bruce Springsteen, and then other times I just need some pick me up I can do it music.  It’s then that I flip my mp3 player to Skinny Songs.

My mom and I heard about Skinny Songs on a local radio station.  Funny thing is I don’t usually listen that early in the morning, but that one we did and then later we both emailed each other about it!  My mom acted faster than me and checked it out and ordered the songs.  She loved them so much that she shared them with me.

The songs are just so darn motivating.  They speak to things I’ve struggled with and how I’m feeling now that I completed to my goal.  My favorites are You Da Boss, Incredible Shrinking Woman, and Objects in the Mirror.

Do you need some new tunes for you workouts? Well I HAVE FOUR, YES FOUR, CD’S TO GIVE AWAY! Heidi (the creator of Skinny Songs) has graciously done this for us.  How cool is that!  I’m so excited for my readers!

  1. If you are eating a refined carb, try to eat some protein with it. (keeps the glycemic index down on the carbs) It works! Thanks for the chance at the giveaway~

  3. My popcorn popper! My worst cravings of the day come at 3pm or so, when I have horrible afternoon munchies. My air-popped popcorn sprinkled with salt gives me lots to munch, lots of fiber, and few calories, preservatives or additives! Love it!

    I also love to run using my Ipod Shuffle. I’d love to have some “skinny songs” to run to! Thanks!

  5. I haven’t recently been successful in dieting and I’ve never been good at working out 😦

    However the times that I was successful at losing weight is when I had a great support system…whether it be a First Place Group, Weight Watchers meetings, or a family members doing it with me. Accountability definitely helps!

  6. So nice of you to do this. Since I’m newly back to WW, I need something to motivate me to workout. Right now I’m in the lull phase of motivation!

    My favorite newly discovered food are the fiber one snack bars. They are delicious AND a generous size for their 2 points!

  8. Well, since this is an area I struggle in, I’m not sure I’m the best one to be giving out diet tips! But I do know that drinking more water helps… (insert pathetic smiley face here)

    EAT LESS
    EXERCISE MORE
    DRINK LOTS

  11. What a great idea for a CD! I always need motivating music when I workout. I just did a post today with 15 great diet tips! My favorite is to increase your water intake. My favorite way to do this is by putting water in a fancy wine glass. It makes me want to drink more of it!! 🙂
