I have been knitting for just about four years.  I taught myself with library books for the children’s section on a trip to South Carolina.  I was pregnant with our last child and was determined to make something for her.  So I decided to try knitting.  I remember not being able to figure out how to get the second row started and at a gas stop handed the needles to my dh to figure out for me.  He did and I have continued from there.  The blanket I made her is one of her favorite things and has been repaired many times from all the love!

My favorite thing to do in knitting is felting.  It is so fun to knit a purse and then wash it and watch it transform to a fabric.  And all my mistakes get covered up!  I have knit socks, purses, mittens, scarves, blankets, and some other things.

I am always knitting something at night and sometimes as the children work on their school work.  Keeps my hands busy so I don’t eat!
