What’s Knitting
For Christmas I decided to knit Ms. A a hat. I needed something to do in the evening and this seemed like a good idea. I started it four days before Christmas but it was a quick enough hat that I finished it the next day. It comes from this pattern. I didn’t add the jewels in the eyes or on the nose as I figured they would just come off. She loved it and wears it around the house and in the snow.

Since I finished that one so quickly I decided to make Mr. J a beard hat. These are trendy now. I knitted a hat first and then the beard as another piece. Originally I connected them to the hat with buttons but it didn’t fit right no matter where I put them. I sewed it on and it worked much better for him. I can’t find the pattern I used for this one though. It was hard to find one that I liked too.
When I finished this hat Rich was asleep. I put it on and woke him up. He was quite startled and said not to wear it anymore LOL.

Ms. A wanted to pose with Mr. J.

SO cute! Love the beard hat… Haven’t seen these around here, HA!!!
Love them!!!!!!
Both of those suit them perfectly! I thought about knitting one of those beard hats for my son a couple years ago. Then I realized he has a beard. So I knit a different hat for him.
Those hats are great! No photos of you in the beard hat??
Those are so pretty, and I love the story about waking Rich up.
Hahaha…those are fabulous!! You should so open up a little etsy store, I would buy off of you, I so need a beard hat, lol!
LOL! You should have posted the picture of you in it, I saw on Instagram! Eric died laughing.
Those are adorable! The blue looks really pretty on Ms A!
OMGOSH… I wanted to buy that for my kids, but it was $40…So funny!
Awesome hats! The beard is cracking me up, but serves a purpose.
